Go Lassie Go

...all around the blooming heather

Oh, the summer time is coming

And the leaves are sweetly blooming

And the wild mountain thyme

Grows around the blooming heather

    Will you go lassie, go?

    And we'll all go together

    To pluck wild mountain thyme

    All around the blooming heather

    Will you go lassie, go?

I will build my love a bower

Near yon clear crystal fountain

And around it I will grow

All the flowers of the mountain

If my true love she were gone

I would surely find no other

To pluck wild mountain thyme

All around the blooming heather
