It’s been slow and painstaking, putting all of this together. There’s alway the issue of synchronising studio time with the availablilities of various session musicians.   Eventually, we managed to get Robbie involved. He was integral to the shaping of the eventual sound of the tracks he accompanied. And, in the case of The Whistling Gypsy,  we ended up dropping the bass which we already had recorded, as Robbie had tuned his bodhrán playing so well that it was covering those exact bass notes.   Beautiful.
